Open call
for temporary research positions
in the „Fractal geometry and its applications” research group
The research group „Fractal geometry and its applications” led by Dr. Balázs Bárány at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Department of Stochastics in Budapest, Hungary, is seeking highly qualified candidates for a 1-year long postdoctoral position funded by the National Research, Development and Innovation Office with the possibility of extension. The position begins on the 1st of October, 2024, but it can be negotiated.
The main goals of this project are to provide a better understanding of the dimension theory of fractal sets and to find deeper connections and applications to other fields of mathematics.
Requirements.
- PhD in Mathematics;
- Good communication skills in English;
- Expertise and research interest in an area closely related to the project.
